These so-called accident claim people ring up acting like they're helping because of some crash you weren’t involved in. Honestly, they’re just trying to steal your details. Best thing is to ignore the call, never send them any of your ID, and definitely don’t sign anything they send your way!

Tried calling back since it seemed like a mobile, but nobody picked up. I've now unblocked the number.

My landline rang and when I picked up, I stayed silent. I could hear a guy in the background, probably from a call centre, chatting with someone else about how weird it was that the number on his screen wasn't the one he thought he dialled. Then he just hung up, not realising I was still there listening. Later on, I figured out it was the same lot who rang my mobile before - the fake accident management folks who pester me every day. Definitely adding this one to my blocked numbers.

these accident scamcalls keep coming from like 50 diffrent phones, ive blocked them all tho. kinda tempted to just chuck my sim and get a new one to avoid all this hassle. honestly there needs to be stronger rules about data protection to stop these jerks from bothering folks once theyve got their details. its really annoying!

I really don’t get how Ofcom just lets this rubbish go on. I’m getting calls from loads of different numbers all over the UK, and even from other countries. Now I try not to pick up mobile calls unless I already know the number, but it’s quite a pain. The first time I actually took one of these calls, I had no idea they were dodgy, but luckily I didn’t spill any info. By the end of the brief second call, I asked the lady where she’d found my mobile number and who she was working for. She just ended the call straight away.

I keep receiving calls from the same number but with the last few digits switched up. Seems like some dodgy insurance scammers trying to catch people out. I’ve stopped picking up, but whenever i block one, another pops up ringing me from a slightly different number. Both my mobile and home phone get at least one call each day from them. It’s really annoying!

I received a rather unsettling call with complete silence on the other end before they promptly disconnected.
