Got a call on my elderly mother-in-law’s phone, she’s 87, and it really spooked her. The automated voice claimed there was a legal action being started against her, told her to press 1. She did but then just hung up and rang us straight away.

Got a dodgy automated call pretending to be HMRC, threatening action and telling me to “press 10 to talk to your case officer.” Total scam alert - no way the tax office contacts people this way, and there's no chance they'd be calling from a mobile number!

Got a robocall saying it was HMRC with some sort of case against me. It asked me to press 1 to get in touch with the officer handling it. Pretty sure it's just a scam though.

I got a call from that number earlier, they asked for my name right away. I told them to explain what they wanted first, but they just kept insisting on my name. I refused and then they threatened to have me arrested. I just told them to go ahead and arrested me if they wanted, then I hung up. Very cheeky!
