Somebody called saying they were from O2 and had a special discount for me. The funny thing is, I’m not even an O2 customer!

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, wasn’t really interested to answer.

This number’s gotta be one of those scam calls made up randomly. They’ve been ringing loads of folks, even those who ain’t with O2, trying to sell some sort of “discount”. A mate of mine got caught out by one of these O2 scam calls before, so honestly, just block it if you get it.

I noticed I had a missed call from this number, and it seemed like a regular mobile so I thought it might be someone I know. When I rang back, a weird voicemail with an American lady’s voice came on saying something like “all agents are busy, please leave a detailed message after the beep and someone will get back to you soon.” It felt really sketchy and they didn’t even say what company or organisation it was. I didn’t bother leaving a message, just hung up and blocked the number straight away. Definitely felt like a scam call to me.
