I’m with Virgin Media and saw on their site that 07533 051809 is the number to text if you want to cancel your services. I’ve sent a couple of messages there but haven't heard anything back. If that number isn’t working anymore, Virgin Media really needs to update it or take it off their site. Leaving it like this just causes confusion.

This number really does belong to Virgin Media. I saw it on their Facebook where you can send a text for help, which I tried, but after a while they directed me to chat on WhatsApp instead. It’s also brought up now and then on the Virgin Media forum. Sure, it’s possible they use it for sales calls, but I haven’t come across anyone saying that on the forum.

Got a text claiming to be Virgin Media about my service being cut off soon, with a special cheap broadband offer and a £100 bill credit. They left a number to call back which was 02037436951. Normally, when Virgin Media texts me, their name shows up, not just a phone number.

They said they’re virgin, not once but twice, but virgin has no idea about this message or what they’re even offering. Then they asked me for my full name, address, and mobile number, I told them they should already have it if they’re really virgin. Then they came back with some silly excuse sayin they’re a messaging team, not a WhatsApp team 🙄

I called Virgin Media about an email they sent about renewing my contract. The automated line said I'd get a text with a number to call for a faster way to sort things. I did get the text with the number, but when I rang it, a recorded message said "this number doesn’t accept voice calls" and then it just cut off. Quite frustrating really.

Today this number called my 74 year old mum and kept pestering her, saying her router was broken and that they’d send a replacement. They also claimed she qualified for a goodwill payout but needed all her bank details to sort it. She’s really shaken and upset now, it’s disgusting how these people operate.

I received a letter from Virgin Media saying they tried contacting me about a complaint and asked me to text a certain number with my complaint reference if I wanted to move forward. They warned they'd close the complaint after 28 days if I didn’t respond. I texted them with my reference number, then got replies asking for my name and whether I’m the account holder. I’m not comfortable answering more questions. Either they ring me properly or it’s dodgy.

Sounds like Virgin to me. Terrible way to start with no explanation at all. Definitely gives off scam vibes. I wouldn’t share any info and just replying STOP should end it. I'd class it as harassment given how they just cold-called without any context.

They kept calling me nonstop from 4pm until I finally blocked the number about two hours later. I haven’t had a landline for three months, and the bloke who sold me the deal was dishonest about Virgin’s fees, also taking money directly from my account. I’ve emailed them three times to cancel whatever supposed “account” they say I have. To me, they've clearly breached our original agreement. I reckon I’ll have to find some time this weekend to contact the ombudsman via email.

Got a text from a number claiming to be Virgin. Couldn't get through by phone, so I googled the number and, based on some posts, thought it was legit. Ended up giving them details like my email, bill amount, bank sort code, and the content of my original letter including my address, unfortunately. The conversation got really odd, even asking me for bits of a password I don't think I even have, and it was all so slow I just stopped responding. Now I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. If it actually is Virgin, they’re doing a terrible job. Back to sending letters now.

I phoned a few call centres earlier (none from Virgin though), but it didn’t mention which one it was, so I just ignored it and looked it up online. After reading the feedback here, I sent a “stop” message and got a reply confirming I’ve been unsubscribed. Blocked the number straight away.

Someone gave me this number 07533051809, said it was from Virgin Media, on Facebook. I got locked out of my account and it was no use at all. They sent me to a site insign{###], which didn't help one bit. Might be a scam or something dodgy, who can tell? Anyway, still can't get into my account so I reckon a hacker’s got in there for sure.

Apparently got a message from what said it was Virgin Media about an extra TiVo box when I asked a general question through the 150 service. Could be legit but they asked loads of info and sent links needing passwords and stuff. I just blocked the number, wasn’t really bothered to pursue it. I thought Virgin was with EE not Three tho.
