Feels like one of those mass calls where they dial loads of numbers at the same time, and whichever person answers first gets through while the others get dropped. Then they seem to do it all over again with a different group of numbers. If your number’s in the mix, you’ll probably hear from them again.

Haha, went through just the first couple pages and that was plenty for me. I’ve blocked all those numbers right on my Panasonic phone - bit of a handy trick! If your phone’s not ancient, have a look if it has that feature. Got about half a dozen numbers on the blacklist now, and honestly, things feel a bit calmer lately :D

I honestly don’t get why folks feel the need to ring back every unknown number. If it’s important, surely they’ll just try you again, right? This number rang me earlier, and like always, I didn’t bother returning the call. Instead, I checked here first to decide if blocking it was a good idea.

On the 23rd of August 2013 around 8:50 in the evening, this number gave me a quick ring that didn’t last long enough for my answerphone to pick up. I’ve added it to my blocklist now. I just got a call from this number 07520905039 as well. Don’t ring it back! It’s a scam designed to rip money off your phone credit. When you try to call it, your provider should really be warning you since it’s not a regular UK number, and calling it costs you. They only ring you and then hang up quickly because they want you to return the call. Once you do, you get stuck in some sort of fake waiting line that never connects to anyone. The longer you stay on the call, the more your phone bill goes up, and these scammers get a cut of that. Honestly, don’t bother calling back. Ofcom ought to put a stop to this nonsense.

Got a call with no one speaking on 13/08/2013 around 6.44pm. I picked up right away, but it was completely silent. I called the number back since I was supposed to get an update about a family member doing urgent medical checks, but some American guy came on saying “your call is important” and some cheesy hold music played.
