They told me they were from the University of Central Lancashire, which struck me as a bit off. From what I’ve seen on here, they pretend to be all sorts of places. The phone number wasn’t a local Preston one either, it was a mobile, which made me suspicious. They sent a link that looked like the real UCLAN website but was hidden behind one of those bit.ly shortened URLs, and honestly, that seemed pretty dodgy to me.

Someone said they were calling from 3 and told me I’d been chosen for a 40% discount on my bill. But when I asked them a question, they just ended the call straight away.

I received a rather suspicious message informing me that my Apple Pay account was set to be suspended due to some alleged fraudulent activity. They urged me to follow a link for more information, but I didn't take the bait. It's likely just another scam, if you ask me...

They claimed to offer an investment but when I told them I was tied up (which I really was and had no interest) they just hung up on me straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Apple Pay, trying to scam me. Really dodgy! Watch out, they’re definitely up to no good.

This bloke kept insisting my name was Annet, even after I said it wasn’t. He kept probing for my name, age, and what I was up to. Then he went on about how I had to tell him my name. I could hear WhatsApp buzzing away in the background. Turns out “Dave” was from some company called Expertsaver, ringing to quiz me on how old my TV and fridge are. Bit odd if you ask me.

Got a ring from this number earlier. Looked it up here and turns out it’s a spammer. Went ahead and blocked it now.
