They were trying to pitch me an additional device for just £30 upfront. When I mentioned that it was a bit beyond my budget, they offered to roll it into my bill instead, which sounded promising. However, fast forward to yesterday when I got another call from them, only to learn that they couldn't manage to place the entire charge on my bill. Instead, they asked if I could pay £10 upfront. I agreed, thinking it was reasonable. To my shock, they then went ahead and deducted £39 from my bank account! I later clicked on the link in the email they’d sent me, only to discover it leads nowhere.
