Got a call from someone saying they were with "Help Your Claim" and they asked me for photo ID - passport, driving licence, all that - to sort out refunds from car finance firms. I've actually used H.Y.C. before, so I thought it was a bit odd they’d suddenly need such personal stuff! Felt a bit fishy to me.

Got a call from some bloke who somehow had my full name, no idea how they got hold of it. Was pushing something about an Education Platform? The guy had a distant accent, seemed like he was calling from India. I just ended the call and blocked the number. Absolute scam, totally dodgy.

Got a call from this number and loads of others today around 11:39. I use my iPhone’s setting to block any callers who aren't saved in my contacts, so most of these just get filtered out straight away. Seeing what others have said, I’ve gone ahead and blocked this particular number, but honestly, they have endless ones to ring from, so I’ll be blocking those as they come through too. Take care, folks!

This Merseyside number keeps ringing my phone over and over. I never pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, so I have no clue what they want. After reading what people have said here, I’m pretty certain it’s not worth answering. Going to block it straight away to stop the hassle. Cheers for the heads up.

I got a call from a woman who claimed to be representing an education service. When I pressed her about how she got my info, she said it came from a social media advert. Thing is, the company deals with online trading and I’m pretty sure I never clicked on any such ads. Then she said it wasn’t her role to explain where my data came from. I wasn’t having any of it, told her she was breaking GDPR rules, and she just ended the call.

Had some dodgy caller trying to scam me, I told them where to go! Everyone should do the same. These crooks are just using the virus situation to their benefit. BT should really step in and cut off their phone lines instead of just making cash from these cheats. They could keep an eye on these calls easily, but guess what, money is way more important to them.
