Got a call from someone trying to sell me a puppy, then they asked for a deposit through PayPal, saying to send it as friends and family to [email protected]. They said it was so I wouldn’t have buyer protection which is a big red flag. Definitely a scam, so I’d advise not answering their calls or replying to their WhatsApp messages.

I got a call from this number and it turned out to be a timeshare scam. They target people who have timeshares and ask you to join a Zoom meeting, claiming they can help you get out of the contract. However, they demand a hefty upfront fee around £6,000 due to supposed legal reasons. Not sure how true that is, but it all felt really dodgy. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Whenever I pick up the phone, it’s just dead silent on the other end.
