No legit professional would be approached like this, honestly. Luckily, the scammers usually give themselves away pretty quickly, so it’s not too hard to spot them. Cheers, EraldoProEraldo9 yearsLike others have said, I just ignored the initial text and then got another one asking me to respond. Seems pretty much the same story here.9 yearsI'm getting a message every day about a decorator in Nottingham, asking if I'm interested. It just says to reply with yes or stop. Thing is, if I reply stop, I guess that'll just confirm the number’s active and then they'll probably start flooding me with even more messages. Bit worried about that.Nottingham9 yearsGot a weird text from them saying a Miss Campbell needed a painter and decorator in Chessington but apparently all their people are tied up. They asked me to reply YES if I could help. Feels a bit dodgy to me! Skam alert.BlimeyCampbellChessington9 yearsGot a call from someone called Mr Smith asking for an electrician in Milton Keynes, but none of our guys were free at the moment. They wanted my bank details, which made me think it was a total scam. If you can help, just answer with YES, or send STOP to opt out. Be careful out there!SmithMilton KeynesBest9 years07520 615111 / +447520 616111 I received a rather dubious message from this number, as it didn’t even bother to mention my name. The message went something like this: “We’ve received an inquiry from Mr Carvalho seeking an architect professional in Hayes, but all our members are presently unavailable. Kindly respond with YES if you can help, or STOP to opt-out.” Honestly, who refers to an architect as an 'architect pro'? It sounds completely off, considering architects are inherently professionals. And if it were someone I actually knew, they certainly wouldn’t be so impersonal as to instruct me to reply with a simple YES or STOP; a quick phone call would be the standard approach. Clearly, this is just another instance of spammy marketing that's completely unwelcome.CarvalhoHayesYES9 yearsThey never said my name which made me doubtful straight away. The message said something like "A Mr. Carvalho asked about an architect in Hayes but all are tied up. If you can help, text YES or STOP to opt out." Who actually asks for an 'architect pro'? Architects are obviously professionals, the wording was weird. Also, if it was someone who truly knew me, they wouldn’t have told me to simply reply YES or STOP, they’d have asked me to call them back instead. Pretty clear this is just some spammy marketing, totally uninvited and a waste of time.CarvalhoHayes9 yearsGot a message from someone called Mr Rayhan asking for an electrical tester in Llandudno, but every expert we know was tied up. They wanted a YES if we could help or STOP to opt out. Honestly, I just blocked the caller straight away - felt like spam, no proper info given, and the grammar was shockingly bad. Not something I wanted to deal with.RayhanLlandudno9 yearsGot a message on 5 June from Mrs Lewis she’s after an Aircon specialist in Newport but no one available from our list.
