I got suspicious, thinking maybe he was after access to my phone or something dodgy, so I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

I picked up this number early, about 7:30am today. There was some giggling in the background, then a lady said my internet wasn’t safe. She asked what gadgets I had hooked up and how many lights were blinking on my box. When I asked who she worked for, she claimed to be from my broadband company. I asked which one, and she said BT. I told her BT ain't my provider and quickly ended the call. Sounds like a hacker trying to trick people. These people have rung me two times. The first was some bloke saying he was from BT Open Reach, telling me my internet was acting up and tried to get me to mess about with my computer.
