Got a message just after midnight on 28.03.22 saying I'd been near someone with the Omicron variant and to get a test kit from NHS.testkitgov.com/NHS. Totally out of the blue. I knew it was dodgy, so I reported it and blocked the number straight away.

Got a txt supposed to be from Yodel saying I could sort a redelivery by clicking a link. Seems like a dodgy scam to me, probably one of those nasty links you really don’t wanna mess with. 07511207873 WARNING - On 14/02/22 I got a text saying it was from track & trace, telling me I'd been near someone isolating and to get an omicron test kit from a website link. The message read something like, “Track and Trace: You've been close to someone isolating. For safety, order your test kit here https://omicron.pcr-testkit2.com.” Earlier that day, this number called me and asked for someone who didn’t live here, so I reckon they were just checking if the number works. I didn’t touch the link, felt dodgy, so I’ll do a lateral flow instead!

Heads up - on 14/02/22 I got a text pretending to be from track & trace with a link to get an omicron test kit?? Something felt off about it. Earlier the same day, I had a call where they asked for someone else’s name, just the usual way to check if the number’s active! Didn’t touch the link, just to be safe - probably a scam. Absolute scam alert! I got this message claiming to be from Nat West saying there was a payment tried from a NEW device, and it had a link to click if I didn't recognise it. Foolishly, I clicked and put in my details, but it just kept making me re-enter my info over and over - very fishy. Then I realised it was a trick to grab all my info by making me try logging in multiple times. Proper dodgy stuff. I quickly logged into my bank app on my computer and changed every password. Blocked that number straight away!

Absolutely, this is definitely a scam artist masquerading as NHS Track and Trace. They claim you've been in touch with someone who's tested positive for COVID, but here's the kicker-I hadn’t even used my NHS app recently, so how on earth would they have that information? Shortly after, I received another message informing me that I’d been in contact with someone currently in isolation. It’s best to just ignore and delete these messages altogether.
