I got a call from this mobile number but ignored it at first since I didn’t know who it was. They kept ringing though, so eventually I answered. An automated voice claimed to be from HMRC saying I had a payment problem. It was obvious nonsense and a total scam! I quickly ended the call. I’ve been in touch with HMRC for ages and they never phone from a mobile like that. Just be careful! If you receive a similar message and feel suspicious, best to hang up and verify it yourself by logging into your Government Gateway or calling HMRC directly.
