I got a call from this number asking if I use a pay as you go SIM. When I said no, the caller mentioned something about O2. I ended the call right away after that.

Got a call on my phone, I picked up and some Asian bloke was telling me I’m on pay as you go and paying like £20-£30 a month. I asked him how much exactly and said I’m only on £10. Then he asked what I get for it and tried pushing a package for £16 a month. I was like, why on earth would I pay an extra £6 a month? He said it’d better my chances of getting a contract or something, but I just weren’t having it. Ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from this number and I was listening to what they had to say, but when I told them I only had my mortgage, they just snapped and went, "oh for f***’s sake, just buzz off." Tried calling back right away but it wouldn’t go through. Got a call from a taxi firm earlier today. I blocked the number 07506 184914 right away. This number rang me up and I ended up speaking with a debt adviser at Citizens Advice. Turns out that the firm behind it is [#][#]debtadvicefoundation[###]. Tried calling the free phone number listed on their site and it was dead. The first adviser claimed to be from Citizens Advice, but when I asked to speak to the manager, they got annoyed and said they'd sack the adviser immediately for giving out bad info. My advice? Don’t agree to an IVA without getting solid guidance from a TRUSTWORTHY CAB.

A guy named ‘Victor’ with a heavy foreign accent rang me up about some IVA I supposedly have, but I don’t. He mentioned my huge debts but didn’t explain where he got that info from. When I asked for details, he said I’d be in hospital soon. I asked straight if he was threatening me and he just admitted it. I gave him a piece of my mind. Later this afternoon, the same number called back but the call disconnected as soon as I picked up.

Weird bloke claiming to be from Citizens Advice. When I asked if he was a scammer, he suddenly switched from odd to downright nasty and started being abusive. Ended up blocking him.

DON'T SHARE ANY INFO WITH THEM. Luckily I’m careful. They claimed to be from the citizens advice bureau about some debt but it’s totally fake. I’m actually waiting for my payroll to call me about a real debt issue, so I knew straight away these folks are scammers. Got a call from some guy with an Indian accent. He goes, "Hello, can I speak to #my full name#?" I said, "No, you can't." Then he asks, "May I know who this is?" I just said, "No." Then he was like, "Fine, get lost," and hung up. Fair play, that’s top-notch customer care right there.

Somebody rang me pretending to be from the local citizens advice bureau. Strangely, they gave me my own postcode as their company address, which isn’t where the CAB actually is. When I told them there was no CAB at that spot, they insisted I was wrong and kept pushing to send a photo of themselves and their CAB ID via whatsapp - I kept saying no and even warned them I'd call the police if they did it. Eventually, I just hung up ‘cause they were being really pushy and unpleasant. Best thing to do is just ignore the call and block the number.
