Got a call from some random numbers and honestly, had no clue what they were jabbering about. Total spam, these lot!

I got a message from a different number that said: Hi Mum, I’m borrowing a mate’s phone as I’ve broken mine and theirs is nearly out of battery. Could you WhatsApp me on my new number 07498 348412 please x. Since my son isn’t usually so careless, I texted his usual number saved in my phone. He texted back saying he hadn’t sent anything and warned me it’s a scam. From what I gather, the scammer tricks you into saving the new number, then later pretends to be your kid asking for cash.
