I was also scammed by this “Sam”! He was very anxious and asked for cash to help him get home from London to Fairfield (having come from Cardiff). DO NOT GIVE HIM CASH, take his laptop as collateral and in general, JUST DO NOT INTERACT with him. He is a scammer through and through and I hope with enough posts about him, we can make this guy pay.

Last night near Russell Square, I got conned by some bloke claiming he was all anxious and lost, saying he was heading back from Cardiff to Fairfield. He was hanging about Euston and tried the same old routine. He even let me snap a picture of what he said was his mum’s number and gave me this number to call. He went as far as offering his laptop as some kind of guarantee and let me take a photo of him (which really, I should’ve done!). Keep your eyes peeled for "Sam," this fake anxiety act is still going strong (11th March 2026).
