Number that called me: 07496 416679. I got a voicemail from someone saying I owed £173 for a parking fine dated back to 14 June 2019. The caller claimed to be from "Equita Enforcement Agency". Strangely, she knew my car’s number plate and said the letters were sent to my old address, even though I didn’t say a thing. I never got any letters or traffic tickets for this supposed fine! No parking tickets were ever left on my car, and my current address has never been mailed anything about this. The DVLA and Council both know I moved over 18 months ago. I updated my address with the DVLA and even set up direct debit payments for council tax at the new place. She gave me a PCN number: BR 41147055. When I rang Chesterfield Council and mentioned it, they said they had no record of it and it wasn’t one of theirs. Could someone please tell me if this is a scam?
