It's worth noting that HSBC never reaches out to customers using a mobile number.

The message stated: "HSBC: A new Payee request has been initiated from an unknown device. You may Authorise or Cancel the request at: https://hsbc.co.uk-update7j2.com"

Got a message out of the blue saying someone’s been using my HSBC account. Thing is, I don’t even have an account with HSBC, never have! Just another dodgy scam trying to catch me out.
