I got a text saying it was from the DWP, saying I hadn’t sent in my energy allowance application. Thing is, 1) I don’t qualify for any energy allowance. 2) Surely the DWP already knows who should get it. 3) It just seems off that they’d be texting from a mobile number in the first place. Feels like a total scam to me. I’m gonna report it for sure.

Got a call claiming to be from the DWP saying I hadn’t applied for the Energy Allowance yet. Thing is, I’m not qualified for it at all. Plus the DWP surely already have all that info. Also, I highly doubt they’d ever ring you on your mobile like that. Sounds like a total scam to me. I’m going to report it for sure.
