I got two calls, one on 3rd March 2021 and another on the 6th, both with an automated voice saying my wife’s National Insurance number was at risk and she’d face legal trouble if she didn’t act. The message mentioned something about South Wales specifically. Funny thing is, my wife had just renewed her driving licence online on 2nd March using the legit Gov.uk site, and that was the only time she gave her NI info. She’s since got her new licence and paid £14 for it. Makes me wonder if there’s some sort of mix-up happening with the DVLA over in Swansea, South Wales.
