I've received two calls in just a few days from someone purporting to be from British Gas. When the caller wouldn't heed a word I said, I decided to hang up.

I received a rather pushy call from someone who said he was with British Gas. He wouldn’t let me get a word in edgewise, so in the end, I just ended the call and blocked his number. I'm really thankful for this platform where we can verify numbers and look out for one another!

I ignored the call straight away, but they had the audacity to ring back four more times! I rejected each one without hesitation. Clearly, these are just relentless con artists!

I reckon this was one of those automated calls, purporting to be from British Gas. The whole thing felt rather rehearsed and lifeless, not at all genuine. They even mentioned Martin Lewis, which I can't imagine British Gas would do. The moment I mentioned that I was with BG, they abruptly thanked me and hung up. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
