Got a text from HSBC saying I’d added a new payee named "Mr C Jones". Didn’t ring a bell at all - if I didn’t set it up, they told me to cancel it by going to this link: https://cancel-online1.com/hsbc. Seems a bit dodgy to me.

Got a text that looked like it was from HSBC saying FRAUD ALERT: someone supposedly made a payment of £240.00 to a Mr C Jones. It then asked me to cancel if I hadn’t done it! Sounded fishy to me.

Got a dodgy text saying something about LLOYDS and a new payee being set up on 04/05/2021 at 8:25 pm. It told me if I wasn’t aware of it, to go to some weird website: verify-manage-app-payee.com. Definitely looks like a scam to me.
