Got a text supposedly from Hermes saying they couldn’t deliver my parcel and to click a link to sort out a new delivery. Since I was waiting for a package, I clicked the link without thinking much, but it took ages to load so I shut it down before anything showed up. Now I’m pretty sure it was a scam, even though I don’t usually fall for stuff like this. It’s so easy to get caught out when you’re just expecting a genuine delivery. Definitely double check with the official company before clicking any links, just to be safe.

I've been contacted by this number a few times, and each time it’s been a bloke with a robotic voice claiming that my HMRC account has been frozen due to some dodgy activity. It’s occurred on two different days just in the past week. To top it off, I’ve now received a text insisting that I cough up tax on an item forthwith, or it'll be sent back. What raised my eyebrows was the timing; the phone call from HMRC came a day after I submitted my tax return, while the Royal Mail message popped up about a week after I splashed out on something from the States that would indeed incur tax. But I can assure you, I’ve triple-checked. This number is merely an intricate piece of programming-nothing more. DO NOT ALLOW IT TO INTIMIDATE YOU! None of the claims made by this number hold any truth. 👍
