Got a text saying there was some dodgy payment on my account and I need to click this link to sort it out. Seemed fishy straight away, like a classic scam. Thankfully I didn’t tap on anything. Watch out, these messages can look so real!

Got a dodgy text supposedly from HSBC saying there’d been an attempt to add a new payee from some unrecognised gadget. It told me to confirm or cancel the request by going to a weird link (I’ve blocked it out here, obviously). I was nearly caught out since I’d just done my online banking not long before, but when I wrote the message down I spotted all the typos and crap grammar. Proper scammers trying it on!

Somebody pretended to be from royal mail saying I had to pay a fee to send a parcel. I told them no way, I’m not falling for that. They probably reckon we’re daft or something.
