Got a text from this number saying I needed to pay to get a Royal Mail package delivered, there was even a link included (didn't dare click, obviously!). Looks pretty convincing at first glance, but what gave it away was the sender - normally if Royal Mail texts me, it shows up with their name, not just a random phone number like this time. Watch out folks, this one’s definitely dodgy!

Got a text that looked like it was from HSBC, said something about needing to authorise a payment, it had a link too. Felt dodgy so didn’t click it, sounded like some scam. Stay sharp folks!

Got a text supposedly from Royal Mail saying I owed £1.29 for some postage, or they’d send my parcel back. The link was https, so it seemed proper legit at first. But after seeing a few other comments about that same number, looks like a scam to me. It’s a pretty well done fake, so just be careful if you get something like this!

Got a text saying it was from my bank but it was obvious a scam. It had all the typical signs of a phishing attempt. Best thing to do is forward it to [email protected] if possible, then just delete it straight away.

Got a text from 07485004031 claiming to be my bank. It said I’d supposedly approved a payment and to stop it, I should click on a website called authorised-transaction. Felt fishy to me!

Got a message from 07485 040031 warning me about some fraud and saying I’d approved a payment from my bank account to some code like 0c0000, which I definitely didn’t make. The text told me to click a link to cancel the transaction if it wasn’t me. Fat chance! Very obvious scammers trying to trick people. I’ve already blocked the number and reported it to the proper authorities.
