I got a call from some company saying Hilton Hotel group, who apparently owns Diamond Resorts, are sending bailiffs to collect unpaid management fees. Thing is, we're not even members anymore and they've never sent us any letters or anything about this before. They claimed Hilton can just do this without actually getting in touch with me first.

Got a call around 11:35, the phone only rang twice before it just dropped. This is like the second time in two days it’s done this. Seems pretty dodgy, probably a scam if you ask me.

I've come across a number of timeshare exit firms in various searches, and it's left me quite uneasy. I've been duped out of nearly £20,000 by those who turned out to be either fraudsters or simply ineffective in handling timeshare exits and securing compensation. Be wary of a chap named Mr Khan!

I picked up the call and all I could hear was like a quiet sigh, maybe someone nervously breathing out. Seems like the person on the other end wasn’t very experienced and probably chickened out. Feels like it was some kind of scam.

On 30th June 2023, I got a call from 07480720014 saying there was some European Order for payment against me, and they gave a reference number. When I asked who it was from, they mentioned MGM and said it was linked to Spanish Courts. I told them I didn’t owe anything to MGM. Then I asked where they were calling from, and they said ‘Debt Relief Centre Aldershot’. I told them I’d get in touch with MGM directly to sort it out. Honestly, these calls are just timeshare scams trying to scare people - there really should be laws banning this kind of fearmongering.

Got a call from someone with a strong Irish accent claiming I owe the European Court for not paying maintenance. Told him I haven’t been with Diamond for ages. When I questioned him about it, he just got really hostile and was quite rude. Totally fishy!

They stated that my name had appeared on a list of individuals who had engaged with a dodgy timeshare firm. The moment I expressed my reluctance to divulge any information to a random caller, they abruptly ended the conversation. Quite unsettling, to say the least!

I've received numerous calls this week from a lot of folks claiming to represent Consumer Protection, stating that I'm on a list of individuals who've fallen victim to dodgy timeshare scams. Quite baffling, considering we still own our timeshare and enjoy using it! They're clearly linked to the likes of M1 lawyers and ECC. They're after an upfront payment for their so-called litigation team, plus a cut of any potential compensation from the finance firm. Just a heads up-it's nothing but a scam!

This number rung me twice in less than half an hour. The callers claimed to be representing Consumer Protection from Dartford, giving out the postcode DA15AJ. They said they help folks stuck with timeshares and can connect me to an expert who’ll sort out the exit process. Apparently, the expert charges a fee because there’s quite a bit of paperwork involved. I told them to take me off their call list since I don’t have a timeshare.
