Some bloke claimed he was from money saving experts. This same number rang me last week pretending to be from Curry’s but I told them I was tied up so they called again today to follow up. I answered the phone but all I got was a recorded voice saying no one was free to speak right now. It quickly mentioned visiting a certain website to opt out, but they said it so fast I couldn’t catch the address. They also said I could email to be taken off their list. Rather than bother with all that, I just blocked the number instead!

i got a call from a bloke who said something about “affinity renewals” and asked if i was mrs xxx - which is my name. as soon as i confirmed, he just ended the call straight away. i did a bit of digging online and found out affinity mostly handle finance leases - but i don’t have any of those. when i called the number back, there was this weird sound like metal scraping against metal, so i didn’t hang around and ended the call quickly. i’ve since blocked the number to be safe.
