Got a call from this number earlier. I called back and got an automated message saying something like "thanks for calling", but it claimed to be HMRC. I double checked by calling HMRC on their official number and they said they never call people, only send letters. They told me to report this to Action Fraud. Don’t be fooled by it! TOTAL SCAM!

Got a bloke named Daniel on the phone asking for sex, which was really creepy. He kept making weird sexual noises so I just ended the call. Then suddenly a woman rings me telling me I could get £1000 for my "services" - I asked what she meant and she just laughed and made some weird noise before hanging up. Had about 6 calls like this all within a day.

I asked why they were calling, and after a bit of pressing, they said it was about increasing my benefits! I laughed and said I’m not even eligible for benefits anymore, so how would that work? They then just said alright, goodbye and hung up. When I tried calling the number back, it said it was from the UK consumer services - but I couldn’t find any info about that anywhere online.

In response, the person told me to go away in a crude manner. I always believed that cold calling was against the law. Always the same nuisance but with a new tale every time - PPI refund, life insurance payout, you name it. Can't this be a sort of illegal cold calling? I rang up my network, Three, hoping for some help but they didn’t seem keen to sort it out, probably 'cos the number causing the grief is, surprise surprise, from them! Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who already knew my first name. He said I appeared in a search about unsecured debts. He rang about 09:30 this morning (09/11/18). I’d also missed a call from this number a few days before, on 05/11/18 around 10:30. I told him I was busy at work and couldn’t chat, but he kept pushing, wanting me to answer one question about my "unsecured debts". I just ended the call and blocked the number right away.

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming to work for the Financial Ombudsman Services saying I was owed £2500 from some sort of overpayment. He wanted my bank info but obviously I didn’t give it. Weird thing is, they already had my address and date of birth.

Totally sick of these scam calls. They keep switching sim cards to dodge the rules about cold calling, really clever and so irritating. Don’t ever give out any info. If they ask to speak to “.name.” just hang up or like I did, tell them to get lost.

I was informed that my PPI claim had been approved and I would receive a cheque of £2300, on the condition that I took out a life insurance policy. However, when I mentioned that I already had life insurance, they abruptly ended the call.

Received a phone call from someone claiming I was owed money from PPI. I found it odd since I never made any claim. When I asked which company he was with, he said Gladstone Brookes. He then rattled off my address and asked for my birthday. I didn’t want to give it, and then he rudely told me to f##k off. Honestly, these annoying calls from unknown mobiles are getting on my nerves.
