Received a ring from this number earlier today. A chap, sporting an extremely refined accent, wished to chat with the director. I said, “Absolutely, how may I assist?” He then carried on with some small talk, inquiring about my well-being, you know, the usual pleasantries. Then he launched into his pitch, claiming he needed to gather £250,000 for Cancer Research, specifically for children in dire need, or so he asserted. I mentioned I was already backing a charity, and before I could finish my thought, he abruptly hung up. Something’s definitely off about this whole situation...

Received a call from this number, where the caller inquired about the owner of the business. They then went on to pitch an advertising opportunity for a magazine supposedly supporting 'Cancer Research for Children in Derbyshire'. However, I can't seem to find any trace of this publication or organisation online, which raises my suspicions about the legitimacy of the whole thing. When I expressed my disinterest in advertising and requested a link to their website so I could consider making a donation instead, the caller abruptly hung up. Quite peculiar, I must say!

Without so much as a courtesy, they abruptly ended the call. Curious, I rang them back to voice my frustration, but once more, they terminated the conversation mid-sentence. It’s quite baffling who these callers are and what their intentions might be!
