I've been inundated with nuisance messages offering assistance in securing an apprenticeship. So, I've decided to block them all!

The government would never use an 07 number, that’s not how they contact people. They don’t send texts either - if you want to get in touch with them, you have to call them first. So if you get a text from this number, it’s definitely a scam. Best thing to do is just block it immediately.

This feels like a proper scam, especially targeting students stuck without apprenticeships just 'cause they come from rough neighbourhoods.

I've never applied for any kind of apprenticeship, yet this number said they’re a firm that helps students look for apprenticeships. Within minutes, they messaged me three times. If you get a text from this number, just don’t reply or even type ‘stop’ - who knows what that could do to your phone. It’s quite worrying getting random messages like this because you can't be sure who’s actually behind them. My advice is to just block and forget about it, it’s really irritating and feels like harassment.

Keeps sending messages even after I kept replying "stop" loads of times, felt dodgy so I just blocked the number. Definitely seemed like one of those fake opt-out scams.
