I got a call from someone saying there was a warrant out for me because HMRC supposedly ran some 'random' tax check and claimed I owe £1467. Every time I asked when the warrant was actually issued, they just kept repeating the same stuff without answering. It kicked off with a guy with a strong Indian accent, then got passed to a woman who tried really hard with a dodgy British accent but completely dropped it once I asked her that same question again.

Got a call asking if I’d had all my jabs - said it was from some Medical research company. Told them I wasn’t comfortable sharing that info, didn’t even know who he was or why he needed it. He said it was for the health and safety of the whole country. I kept saying I didn’t want to answer, then he just said ‘Well, then you can go to hell.’ Lovely person!

Got a call a moment ago from someone claiming they got details from the FCA about my debts, then asked if I was interested in a loan. Since I’m fortunate enough to not owe anything serious, I immediately figured it was dodgy and told them to delete my info. When I pressed them on where they supposedly got my details from, they couldn’t give me a proper explanation.

Absolute scam alert! To help stop these dodgy calls, we all need to do our bit by reporting and blocking them. When you get a scam call, send the info by text to '7726'. If loads of people report the same number, the phone companies get a heads-up and can warn others. For text scams, forward the message to '7726' and also email screenshots to '[email protected] elsewhere in the UK.

Got a call from an Asian bloke called Jack, his accent was awful. Claimed he was ringing from the General Medical Council or something like that. Asked me if my jabs were all up to date. Told him, if he was legit, he’d already know that info. Then he switched to asking about my life insurance - which firm, how much it costs monthly and all that. Just another dodgy Asian scammer trying it on! These muppets really need to be stopped!

They claimed to be from the medical board but the English was really poor. I wasn't convinced. They asked if I could get doctor appointments easily and then about my COVID vaccinations. After that, they started asking if I had life insurance to protect my family. I said I wasn’t comfortable talking about that. At first, since I'm in touch with hospitals and doctors a lot, I wasn’t sure, but once they brought up life insurance, I got suspicious because I doubt any health service would ask that. The call record also showed something like "transferred call."
