Some bloke with a really thick foreign accent called, I could hardly catch what he was saying. Sounded like one of those health scams. Ended up blocking the number and binning it straight away.

He started off by throwing out some long, complicated foreign name, then just kept talking over me whenever I tried to respond. When I asked him where exactly he was calling me from, he snapped, "I've already told you, madam," sounded really annoyed with me and then just hung up. This is the second time in three days I've had this call. They were asking about my vaccination status. Honestly, it felt a bit creepy and really invasive. Quite unnerving, to be honest.

Got a call from a bloke with an accent saying he was from the Department of Health and Social Care. Didn’t see why they’d be ringing me. Told him I didn’t believe him, he kept insisting he was from there, I again told him no, and then he just cut me off.

Sounds like another call from one of those Indian call centres, like others have mentioned. A bloke said he was calling from the Department of Health and Social Care, asking about my vaccine status. When I asked why they couldn’t just check with my GP instead, he dodged the question completely. This is the second time I've had a call like this, and I gave the same reply: I don’t share personal details over the phone. I ended the call after telling him I didn’t trust that he was really from any government department.
