Got a call from this number and some bloke started grilling me about my debts and unsecured loans. Since I don’t have any, I just knew it was some dodgy scam. I joked back, asking if he meant the £5 million mortgage on my gigantic 27-bedroom mansion. That seemed to annoy him because he started swearing like mad and kept telling me to “f*** off” over and over. Definitely a scam, so watch out for this one. I found it hilarious but I can see how some folks might find it quite scary, so just be cautious with these cold callers.

Today I received a call from 07476540153. A man with an Asian accent asked if I'd had any problems or concerns with my doctor, both previously and currently. Once I ended the call, I decided to ring the number back to check if it was some kind of automated line. A woman’s recorded voice answered saying, “The person you're trying to reach is currently busy, please call again later.” I then used my caller ID app to flag and block the number.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, she wanted to know if I was satisfied with my doctor and if I had any appointments coming up. She then asked if I had life insurance. I said yes, and when she asked who it was with, I said I honestly didn’t know. I then asked what the call was about, and she just ended the call right there.

Got a call today which was the second one in 48 hours from someone saying they were from Scottish Widows trying to talk about my life insurance. I told them straight away I actually work at Scottish Widows and we don’t do that kinda review, then the caller just hung up. Pretty clear it was a dodgy call aimed at fishing for my details.

This mobile number said they were calling from Scottish Widows to go over my life insurance. When I asked if they could send all the info to the email they must have on record, the person said that was the reason for the call. Then I asked why the caller ID showed a mobile if it was really Scottish Widows. Right after that, the call got cut off.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the Public Health Department, knew my name and claimed they were updating covid vaccine info. Asked if I’d experienced any side effects after the jab. I told them straight up they were a scammer and to stop calling. They were shockingly bold, didn’t even bother to hang up properly. Blocked that number immediately. Then last week, another mobile number rang me with the same question - blocked that one as well. These scam calls are annoying enough, but it’s worse when they’ve got your actual name.

Got a call from an Asian-sounding guy saying he was ringing on behalf of the British Medical Association, following up with people who hadn’t had their COVID booster. TOTALLY A SCAM! Got a call from a woman speaking with an accent, saying she needed to discuss unpaid debts. I asked her to explain which debts she meant, but she kept saying it was up to me to explain.
