I received a rather unsettling call from someone with a thick accent, and I couldn't quite make out most of what she was saying. She claimed my Amazon account had been compromised and that someone had bought an iPhone 7 using it. She wanted to know if I agreed with that and if I wished to cancel the order. Oddly enough, she refused to verify my name and probed whether I had an Android or Apple device. When I suggested she might not be genuine, she seemed quite put out and that’s when I decided to hang up.
