I got a call from a woman speaking with a foreign accent, saying she was from btinternet and claiming they’d found some kind of scam going on with my phone line. I told her I’d ring btinternet myself to sort it out. That set her off, going on about why I didn’t trust her and all that nonsense. Tried calling the number she gave me back - no answer, wouldn’t accept my call. What a shocker.
