I received a call from someone with a heavy Indian accent who claimed that my PPI claim for £7000 had been approved. They then wanted to take my personal information for "verification purposes." Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

They called me up saying I had £7000 waiting from a claim I made about 5 years back. They wanted my birthday details, but I told them to send the info by post since I never share personal stuff over the phone. Then, they just hung up on me.

Some bloke called me saying I owed £8000 from a claim and wanted my date of birth, bank info, plus copies of my passport and driving licence through my phone. Definitely a scam, watch out for this type of thing!

I had a call from someone pushing me to go online and sign into a website, but they never told me their company or who they were at all. Totally dodgy.

This bloke said he was John and had an Indian accent, claiming he was ringing from UK Reclaims in Liverpool. He wouldn’t provide an office number when I asked. Luckily, I had my laptop handy so I looked it up straight away. When I rang the actual company in Liverpool, they told me they don’t handle PPI repayments at all. Definitely seemed like a dodgy scam.

Totally a scammer. He asked for my birthdate, but I refused to give it. Then he said he needed to check it against the one he had, so I threw him off by saying 1st January 1967. He went on to say his date was 5th February 1966, which I think was another false one I made up earlier, pretty amusing really. None were my real birthday, of course. Even so, he kept pushing for bank info. I told him there's no way I'd give that since it’s obviously a con. He tried convincing me otherwise, but I just told him to post me the cheque then. After that, he just hung up.

I got a call from this guy who said I was owed £8,000 from some PPI thing I supposedly claimed 5 years back. I told him I never made any claim, but he kept insisting I did and that I should remember it from 5 years ago. In the end, I just blocked his number and didn't bother with it anymore.

This bloke had a weird accent and kept on saying I was owed like £8,000 from some PPI thing. He even knew my previous address, which I moved out of a few months ago. Then he told me to download some dodgy file - no way! I told him fine, just post me the cheque. I then asked what email address they had for me, but he just didn’t answer. Asked again and he went and hung up on me. Total scam if you ask me.

Got a call saying I was owed £7,776 for a PPI refund. When I asked which company it was from, they mentioned both Barclays and NatWest. I pointed out that’s two different banks. I told them to just post the cheque through. They wanted my date of birth for “security,” but I told them they should’ve checked that before telling a stranger about the money. Then I asked if they knew my address, and strangely they did. So I told them to send a letter and the cheque instead, then they just hung up on me. Pretty clear it was a con.

Got a call about some PPI claim, which I don’t even have. I told the bloke, lucky me, I actually have three still waiting. I told him to just post the cheque to the address they have for me, then he hung up. Now, the number’s blocked. Weird as.

I got a call from a man with an Indian accent calling himself David, saying my PPI claim had gone through. I kept telling him I never filed one, but he insisted it was from about 7 or 8 years ago and that I might have forgotten. I told him I’d surely remember if I had made a claim, but he just kept pushing. After I firmly said again I never made any claim, he muttered something and then ended the call. This seems like a dodgy scam for sure. Don’t ever hand over your bank details or any personal info to these lot - they’re just trying to cheat you.

Got a call from someone who sounded Indian, couldn't catch his name though. Said my £8k PPI claim went through and asked for my info to verify it. Pretty sure it was one of those scams.
