Some bloke with an Indian accent phoned me asking if I’d had a Covid test and whether the result was positive. I told him no, then he asked about my partner. Again, I said no. I found it hard to catch what he was saying and he never said who he was or which company he was calling from. He didn’t use my name at all either. I reckon it was probably a scam. I mentioned I was having trouble hearing him, and then he just ended the call.

Honestly, you'd think they’d know that here in the UK, official stuff like HMRC always comes with proper letters or a proper phone call, not some anonymous recorded message with no actual name mentioned. I received a call on both my mobile and home phone, and the bloke on the other end knew my missus' name too. He claimed it was something to do with a tax issue and threatened that the police would get involved and we’d be arrested if I didn’t provide my date of birth. I made sure to report this to HMRC as it seemed like a dodgy email fishing attempt.
