Today at 1pm, I received a phone call from a number and on the other end, I heard a automated female voice claiming to be from HMRC. The voice stated that there was a case against me, and abruptly, the call ended. Worried about the situation, I decided to call the number back. A male answered and identified himself as HMRC. When I asked for more information about his identity, he ended the call abruptly once again. It is clear that this is a scam, and now I am concerned that my return call may result in unexpected charges. While I typically do not fall for such scams, this one caught me off guard. I truly hope that measures will be taken to identify and apprehend these individuals involved in this scam.

I received a call at 4.39pm but let it go to my voicemail. The message claimed to be from HMRC, saying that they were filing a lawsuit against me and instructing me to press a specific number to speak to someone. I immediately deleted the message, knowing full well that it was a scam. It's concerning, though, that I am unable to block this number. It is important for the Fraud Office to investigate and take action against this scam. It's worth noting that HMRC would never contact individuals in this manner.

I received a message today from this particular number, which was automated. It claimed to be from HMRC and stated that they were initiating legal proceedings against me. I was asked to "Press 1" to get more information. Afterwards, an individual who sounded Indian spoke to me, informing me that I would be imprisoned for tax evasion. However, before proceeding, he kindly asked me to confirm my address, provide my date of birth, and disclose my NI (National Insurance) number. It is crucial to be cautious, as such data can be highly valuable to fraudsters. My advice: simply hang up the phone! The HMRC would never contact you in such a manner.

I received a missed call and a voicemail claiming to be from the Inland Revenue, stating that they are investigating me. This message frightened me, so I decided to come here and check the number. I used to feel the same way but prevented myself from calling because it was a mobile number. I thought to myself that they wouldn't be making the call from a mobile phone

An automated message informed me about an ongoing investigation by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC). I was asked to press 1 in order to speak to my assigned case worker. Following the prompt, I connected with an individual of Indian descent who mentioned my name, possibly informed by my phone number. The person requested my personal information, but I declined to provide it. Instead, I requested that any correspondence be sent to me in writing through a formal letter, which is a standard practice for the Inland Revenue. To my surprise, the individual responded saying that they do not send out letters, although the Inland Revenue ordinarily would. Moreover, they warned that refusing to cooperate would result in immediate imprisonment. In response, I casually expressed anticipation for this outcome before swiftly ending the call.

I received a phone call this morning from an Indian man who threatened me with arrest and imprisonment. Initially, I was extremely frightened, so I shared my National Insurance number and mobile number with him. While I was continuing the call on hold, I dialed my local tax office on my mobile. The scammer overheard me talking and inquired about the person I was speaking to. I informed him that it was my local HMRC office, and suddenly, he abruptly ended the call. This incident terrified me, and I am still experiencing tremors due to the shock.

Earlier today, my elderly mother received a phone call from this number. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment for cancer and is feeling extremely low at the moment. The call came as a shocking surprise to her and has worsened her already fragile condition. However, I managed to reassure her that it was a fraudulent call since the inland revenue wouldn't initiate legal proceedings without sending a payment demand letter first, and they would never call from mobile phones either. It's worth mentioning that India has one of the highest cancer rates globally, so it's probable that the scammers will eventually experience firsthand the challenges my mother is facing.

I had the same experience where this number simply ended the call! It's unbelievable that the inland revenue would contact you from a mobile number without sending a letter beforehand. They're all a bunch of fools, so it's best to just hang up. 👍🏻

Around 2pm today, I received a phone call. It was an automated voice of a woman claiming to be from HMRC, instructing me to call back because they had a case against me. However, upon further investigation, it became evident that this was a scam, as HMRC wouldn't use a mobile number for such matters. This incident caused a lot of distress to both myself and my elderly mother. It is absolutely unacceptable for these types of calls to occur, and they should be blocked from the very beginning.

Just like the previous recorded messages, I have disregarded this one as well. It is worth noting, however, that I received an authentic letter from the tax office this week. It's unusual to hear from them unless it's regarding my tax coding. So, the question arises: how did these scammers become aware of this? It seems more than just a mere coincidence to me.
