I listed a sofa on Gumtree and got a message from this number. After quite a few texts, they said they'd buy it and would use DPD to arrange collection. I mentioned I wasn’t sure how that worked and asked if they wanted to come see it first. They replied it looked fine to them and said they’d pay directly into my bank. While all this was happening, I looked it up online and found out it’s a known scam on Gumtree. Just a heads up to everyone!
