Got a call earlier with an automated voice saying it was HMRC about some letter that got sent back and that there’d be consequences, then asked me to press 1 to chat with them. I just ended the call straight away, blocked the number and reported it. I’ve never had HMRC ring me out of the blue like that, usually they make appointments first. Seems like a classic scam to me.
