Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be from a firm wanting to confirm my car insurance details and asked for my address. When I questioned why they needed that info, they snapped back, "Why do I need your address? To check your car insurance!" and then just cut me off. Pretty clear that was a scam!

Just got a call from 07432 575198 and it turned out to be some telemarketer saying they were ringing about an accident I supposedly had years ago. I asked him straight away to remove me from their list but he behaved quite rudely and kept questioning why. I didn’t back down though and told him again to stop contacting me, cause it’s really starting to annoy me. Eventually he just hung up on me! Be careful, don’t pick up these calls - they ring from a personal mobile to seem legit but they’re just after your cash. When I told them that wasn’t true, he got really pushy and claimed I must have mixed up my address or something. Not cool at all considering I’ve got young kids at home! Lucky I’m in Australia right now, or he’d have a real mess on his hands!

Thing is, I’ve never been in any crash at all. I asked how they got their info and they said from some accident database. Before hanging up, they mentioned updating that database with my details. Got a bloke with a Northern accent ringing me up again about some supposed “accident”. Right from the start it was clear it was a cold call, so I kept pressing him about where he was calling from. He said Manchester, but when I asked which bit, he got a bit irate and snapped “123… None of your business” before hanging up. Honestly, that made me chuckle! On a more serious note, if anyone manages to find out more precise location details, please share. This sort of stuff can count as harassment. On 26/08/15 I got a call from 07432 575198, some bloke who said he’d just got my info and wanted to know why I hadn’t gone after any compensation for an accident I supposedly had. He didn’t even get my title right - kept calling me Mr when it’s actually Miss. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away. Don’t waste your time picking up!

I kept getting calls from this number every day, so I finally picked up. A bloke on the line said he was ringing about a "recent car accident" I'd supposedly been in (which is rubbish, I’ve never had one). I was pretty fed up with these calls and told him off politely to find a proper job instead of pestering people over the phone. He snapped back that I was just "sitting about all day" (I’m a mum with one child and do nursing part-time, mind you). Now the number won’t even go through!
