Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent saying she was from HMRC and that I owed money for tax evasion. Total scam, no question about it. HMRC would never ring you up about owing money; they always send a letter in a brown envelope through the post. Don’t fall for it, just hang up straight away and block the number. These scammers want to trick you into paying them by pretending to be HMRC, but it’s all fake.
