They sent me a link that looked exactly like the Booking.com site where I originally made the reservation. At first, I trusted it because I get pretty anxious about these things, plus the message came through on my actual phone number and included my full name, email, the hotel’s name, and the dates I booked. I entered my name, phone number, and email again on the site, but then it started asking for my credit card details. I don't even have a credit card, and I’d already paid for the stay - the money was taken from my bank account. So I rang the hotel to double-check, and they confirmed it was a scam. I asked how they got my info, and they said it was an issue with Booking.com’s security, so be careful there too. Anyway, my contact details, which were probably already out since they used them to message me, are now definitely compromised. I’m reporting this number, which oddly enough was listed as a verified business account on WhatsApp.WhatsAppBooking. com3 monthsDodgy call!
