I've received dodgy calls from chancers pretending to be Amazon, claiming they were about to take £79.99 from my bank account for some sort of automatic Amazon Prime renewal. It all seemed a bit underhanded!

Got calls from someone claiming to be from Amazon about renewing Prime, and it was totally suspicious. They rang me twice within an hour, so I had to block the number to stop them pestering me. I usually don’t pick up mobile numbers on my landline unless I recognise who’s calling.

I got a call from a woman speaking English, saying she was from Amazon. She talked about some dodgy activity on my account involving £499 and said it was locked until I either approved or denied the transaction. She told me to press 1 to respond. I just ended the call and decided to report it on this site.

I got one of those scam calls that asked me to press 1. I didn’t do it because apparently it just connects you to some ridiculously pricey number. They probably use the money for really horrible stuff like supporting terrorism or child exploitation. Just hang up, block the number, and report it right away.

Happened about a week ago, sounds like these calls come from similar but different numbers. I just hang up straight away, and if you’ve got the option, best to block it.

Got a robo call from someone pretending to be Amazon, saying thanks for buying an iPhone 7 for £399. They told me to press 1 if it wasn’t me, supposedly to reach customer service. Total scam. Don’t press anything or you’ll probably get hooked up to a fake operator.

I got a call about my TalkTalk account, but there was loads of noise in the background. When I asked the lady to say it again, the line went dead. Earlier, I had a almost identical call from a number ending in 793, this one was 776. Bit suspicious if you ask me.
