This number has rang me a few times today but since I didn’t know it I ignored the calls. I gave it a ring back to check who it might be but a message came on saying the number isn’t real. Later at 4pm, they tried again and this time I picked up. I said hello a couple of times but no one replied, then the call ended with a voice saying goodbye before a weird high-pitched sound blared in my ear. Honestly, it’s both spooky and really irritating.

They kept ringing me non stop all day, then this guy starts telling me super old stuff about me. I told him to stop calling me with this obvious scam, but he just kept chatting away. I got proper annoyed and said a few rude things, and then he called me back saying the same rude stuff to me! Had a chat with a woman on the phone who claimed I’ve got loads of debts under my name, and even knew my name and address. She said if I shared details about my debts, she could assist since she’s from some National Helpline. When I asked her what debts I supposedly have, she wouldn’t say. I told her I don’t owe anything and if she really wanted to help, she’d need to show me proof. Definitely a total scam call.

These lot are scam artists, always aiming at folks who've checked if they qualify for loans or car finance, nicking numbers from loads of different search sites. This time they rang the wrong line, but I'm a bit of a hacker and tracked their real number, which they hide behind the one you see on caller ID. The actual number they're using comes from a flat in Middleton. Don’t pick up, just block them - they’re not a proper company!!! ALWAYS DOUBLE-CHECK!

This number kept ringing me, I told the person I wasn’t interested cos I was homeless (not true) and they said they were a debt manager who could sort out my debts. I told them being homeless means debts aren’t a big deal for me. Then they offered emergency housing, but I said no thanks, my nurses are already sorting stuff and told them to buzz off. PRO TIP: If you gave them your name (like I foolishly did) be warned that the call might’ve been recorded and they’ll have your details next time. Picked up the phone but there was nothing but silence on the other end. Normally I wouldn’t be so quick to hang up on an unknown number, but since it looked like a mobile, I was a bit thrown off. Seeing what others have said here makes me think I dodged a bullet. So at around 11:10 this morning, I got a call from a bloke with a bit of an accent, who said his name was Kevin - though I’m not entirely convinced that was true. He spoke English really well and claimed to be from a debt helpline. I asked why he assumed I needed their help, and he replied that my name and number were on their list. I kindly told him to remove me from it, and he said he’d do that, finishing off by wishing me a nice day.
