Got a call from someone saying they were with The National Crime Agency. They told me my National Insurance number would be cancelled if I didn’t press 1 to talk to an officer. Sounded dodgy to me.

This bloke claimed he was with Aviva, but when I told him I wasn't interested, he started swearing at me a bunch of times. I double checked by ringing Aviva, and they said it wasn’t them calling. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I'm honestly fed up with these calls. This number’s new to me, but the scam itself feels like a broken record - same nonsense over and over. I've blocked so many numbers now, probably more than ten. Why haven’t the authorities done anything to stop them?! Got a call from someone claiming my home insurance was up for renewal and offered to help me find a better deal. My policy wasn’t even close to expiry though. I kept her talking for a bit without dropping any details. Definitely felt dodgy. Ended up blocking the number right away!

I told her I’d contact AIG directly to check and when I did, AIG said my policy was completely fine and up-to-date. Clearly a scam.

Ended up just hanging up since they wanted me to commit to something right away.

Got a call from this number, sounded like an Indian woman claiming to be from AIG life insurance. She told me I wouldn’t be covered for anything COVID-related, like illness or death. I rang AIG directly after and they said there’s no record of that person or call. Reported it straight away to their fraud team. Turns out, AIG actually do cover COVID stuff.
