Heads up, I got a message supposedly from my ‘Dad’ saying he’d had a small accident and wanted me to contact him on a different number. Total scam, don’t fall for it - looks like one of those classic broken phone tricks. Just delete it and don’t reply.

I got a text pretending to be one of my kids, but from a different number. They tried to get me to reply, but honestly, the way they wrote it gave it away straight away - felt totally dodgy and like a scam.

Got another call today, this one wasn’t silent though. The guy claimed he was part of some call blocking company, saying he’d help block annoying telemarketer calls and update my call blocking settings. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Got a message from someone saying they'd been in a crash and smashed their phone. Then they hit me up from a different number, claiming it was their mate's phone and told me to reply on that one. After chatting for a bit, they asked if I could cover their phone bill 'cause they said they were short on cash.
