Got a text claiming to be from HMRC saying I have a “tax refund waiting” with a link that looks like it’s from gov.uk. Proper dodgy. I’m usually pretty sharp about scam emails, but this is the first time I’ve had a phishing text like this. I don’t just hand out my mobile number - only mates and a handful of trusted companies have it. Obviously, these scammers are after bank info.

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, tried to get me to click a link, but I didn’t fall for it. Definite scam!

Got a text from HMRC at like 1 in the morning. Seemed pretty dodgy to me. The link wasn’t even a proper gov.uk site or anything official. Best steer clear of it for sure.

Got a text at like 1 in the morning saying something about an HMRC rebate with a link included. Definitely felt a bit fishy to me. I'm gonna block that number for sure.
