Got a text from this number claiming to be the DVLA about some road tax refund I was entitled to. Sounds dodgy to me, especially as I didn’t overpay anything, and the message came through on my work phone, which isn’t connected to my car at all. They included a website link to supposedly claim your cash back, but I’d wager it’s just a clever trick to con you out of your money.

Got a call from a number claiming I was owed a refund on car tax and could make a claim. Total rubbish, as that's my work phone and not connected to any of my car taxes. When I sold my car last month, the car tax office sent me a letter and a cheque, so this was clearly a scam.

Got a text from this number saying I could get back £48.84 for vehicle tax. There was a link included but I didn’t bother clicking on it. Feels dodgy to me, don’t reckon it’s a legit message from a real mobile number.
