Got a call that seemed really official, some robotic bloke saying I’d done something dodgy with my taxes. Thing is, I’m self-employed but don’t make enough to owe any tax. They told me to press 1 to talk to someone or sort it out. I checked HMRC’s website afterwards and they explained exactly that sort of call is a well-known scam people keep getting.
